Audio Metadata Viewer

Inspect duration, sample rate, bitrate and ID3 tags.

How to use

  1. Drop in an audio file.
  2. Read the technical details - duration, sample rate, channels, bitrate.
  3. ID3 tags like title, artist and album appear when present.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there no tags on my file?

WAV and OGG files rarely carry ID3 tags, and many MP3s were simply never tagged - the technical info still shows.

How is bitrate calculated?

Average bitrate = file size ÷ duration. For variable-bitrate MP3s this is the true average across the file.
