Rename Files

Batch-rename files with numbering patterns, back as a ZIP.

How to use

  1. Drop in the files to rename.
  2. Set a pattern - {n} numbers them, {name} keeps the original, {date} adds today.
  3. Preview the new names on each file, then download the ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Why a ZIP instead of renaming in place?

Browsers can't modify files on your disk - so renamed copies are packaged into one download instead.

Do extensions change?

No - each file keeps its original extension automatically; the pattern only controls the base name.
