Frequently asked questions

Why does the first capture take a while?

The page is rendered fresh on a remote service the first time it's requested; give it 10-30 seconds and hit retry if it's still blank.

Can it capture pages behind a login?

No - only public pages can be captured, since the renderer visits the URL without your cookies or session.

How is the screenshot generated?

Rendering uses WordPress's public mShots service. Only the URL you enter is sent to render the page - use it for public pages.
