Frequently asked questions

How accurate is IP geolocation?

It's approximate - usually correct to the city or region, based on the IP's registered network. It is not GPS and can be off for VPNs and mobile networks.

Does it work for IPv6?

Yes - both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are supported.

Can I look up my own IP?

Yes - click “My IP” to look up the public address you're connecting from.
